This book drew me in from the start. It pulled at the heart strings so quickly and made you like the main character quickly. It also had you not liking one of the sheriff’s equally as fast. This book defiantly pulled on my heart strings through out. I must admit I had tears in my eyes off and on during the book.

The author has a way with words that draws you inside the book and makes you feel that you are right there with everything that is happening within the pages of the books. You feel like it is you that is hearing the bumps in the night. It is you that finds things that have gone missing when you know you have put things in their proper place.

Maybe I have more at stake in this book because of some of the things that have gone on within this book has happened to me. I shall give an example: I was home by myself I had thrown my keys on my bed, I went to use the bathroom before I had to pick up my kids from school (this was a long time ago) and when I came out of the bathroom my keys were missing. Now my husband was at work, and both kids were at school, I knew that I had put the keys on the bed in the center of the bed. I knew no one else was in the house. So, I searched all over for them and could not find them until I looked under my bed for some strange reason. And there they were under my bed in the center where they would be if they had been on top of bed! Talk about my being scared! I hadn’t even heard the keys move at all. So, I am a believer in ghosts! Oh, I have more stories but I don’t want to bore you with them.

We cannot miss the heat level of this book. I was not sure what to rate it as. I mean it was intense when the author did describe it. But, it wasn’t all that intense to mark it a 5. She is descriptive of the material but not as descriptive as some books I have read. It still makes your blood flow. So, that is the reason I gave it the rating I did. It’s about 3.5 -4.

It is an extremely good book. I was able to read it in a few hours. I love a book that can catch my attention so quickly and keep it for so long that I finish it up so quickly.

About the Book:

It only took one look into his eyes for her to know she was in trouble.

Adam Bricklin has heard the melody in his head for years, the melody that told him if a decision was right or wrong. When he met Ragan Newlin the song told him she was the one. He was devastated when circumstances tore them apart. It has taken three years for Adam to finally move past the heartbreak he suffered when Ragan left town in the middle of the night. No note, no email, no text. She was just gone. Now he has a new girlfriend, a new album in the works, and his daughter is doing well in school. Until the day Ragan returned to Fairfield Corners.

Ragan came home to celebrate her parents’ anniversary, hoping they would forgive her for not telling them about her marriage or her son. When she discovered that Adam was still living in Fairfield Corners she hoped her secrets were safe; secrets that drove her away three years ago, secrets that could change their lives forever.

Another excellent book by the author. She grabs you once again from page 1. Once again she makes you feel like you are inside the book with the characters. That you feel what they are feeling. Once again I had tears in my eyes at certain parts of the book.

There was only one part of the book that was a bit steamy. Which was fine with me. I liked the fact that she played on the fact that the two loved each other and wanted each other so much but could not do anything about it. I feel that brought a certain tension through out the book. A sexual tension through out the book. It made you so want them to get together and just let them rip their clothes off each other but at the same time you couldn’t wait till they hopefully got together and got it done right.

I liked that the author still used characters that we met through the first book but at the same time introduced us to new characters that were in the same town. It allowed for us to get to know the town more and like the town more. It made the town seem more like your every day town. Like you could walk out your door and it could be your own town.

The way the author makes you feel about the characters and the town makes the book feel wholesome. You like the suspense of wondering who it is that is after Ragan and you want the bastard caught. Who would want to commit such a crime in a wholesome town like the one in the book? Who would want to break such a peaceful town with crime?

The book has enough suspense to keep you interested, with just enough romance to not make you feel like that is all there is to the book. There is a bit of paranormal in the book to make you feel like something spooky is going on in the town once again. All together it is another great book. I am thoroughly enjoying the series and cannot wait to read the last book.

About the Book:

A past she can’t remember. A love he can’t forget.

After hitting rock bottom, Robert Newlin embraced sobriety and tried to live his life quietly and alone at his family’s lake cottage. Blaming himself for the accident that claimed his wife and unborn baby, he spent most of his time alone and grieving until Faith moved into the cottage next door.

Faith McMillan had no memory of her life before that day three years ago. The physical scars had faded but the emotional ones were still fresh and raw. Living rent-free seemed like a great way to finish her second book and would give her the time to figure out her next move. But then she met the reclusive guy next door.

Robbie and Faith – can two broken people who vowed to live their lives alone find happiness together?

Another well written book. I was able to read this book within a couple of hours. Very quick and easy read. She draws you right in right from the start just like her other two books.

She has a couple of intense scenes of the mature nature but nothing like she had in her first book. Just like her second book there is more sexual tension than anything between the two main characters and once again I like how she plays that out and makes you want more but at the same time you can wait for the right time.

Once again I can emotionally connect with this book. Both with Faith and Robbie. I know how Faith feels with the migraines that she gets because I get them to the same degree that she does. I know how debilitating they can be and how they just stop everything and you just need to stop the world around you because you can’t do much else.

I can also relate to Robbie since I too am a recovering alcoholic. I know how it is to want to have that drink. That pull, that want, to want to just go ahead and drown in that drink. To drown out all the memories that you no longer want to have floating around in your head. I also know how it is to have a trigger and jumping of the bandwagon and the guilt you feel over it.

This book also had me in tears again! Boy that is all the books having me in tears. The author gets you so caught up within the book and getting you so in-tuned with the characters it is so hard not to have tears when bad things happen.

Overall, I find that this book was awesome. I feel the whole series was an awesome series. I’m actually upset that the series is over! I cannot wait to read more of this author’s work.
